In Loving Memory and Celebration of David Tengelin (1976–2001) is written by Patric Tengelin.
Much of my writing reflects a life lived across borders — travel, language, belief, and intentional living over time. Alongside that work, this site exists to preserve something deeply personal.
In 2001, my younger brother David lost his life in the September 11 attacks while working at the World Trade Center. Some of the writing here is dedicated to remembering him not through tragedy alone, but as he lived — with curiosity, ambition, humor, and presence — beyond a single day in history.
This is the story of a boy who loved tropical fish and David Attenborough documentaries. A young man who studied under desert skies, built a career in New York, and chose honesty even when it cost him. From Sweden to London, Arizona to New York, this memorial gathers the details, the emails, the small moments that made a remarkable life.
